It is that time of year again when it falls to thank all those involved with the hosting of SEC's 2017 BE HORSE TRIALS, and there are many, yet again, I marvel at a group of people whose generosity, commitment and various skills make for its undeniable success, yes, that's you, The Volunteers! On top of all that you are a confident, clever, and dedicated set of people who are a pleasure to work with, thank you, thank you and thank you more. It is becoming such a cliche and it's true, 'the sport couldn't function without you'. I must also thank our sponsors Oldknow Construction who very kindly built the new water complex that was very much a key feature to this years event. Other sponsors I must mention are Throstlnest Saddlery, Oxdale Manufacturing, W T Parker, MBA Letting and Darfoulds Nursery., and last but no means least to my husband, David, whose tractors, machinery and workforce have been at our beck and call. You are all under the same umbrella of that cliche 'without you the sport could not function' Lastly, I congratulate British Eventing on their support and trust in SEC. BRITISH EVENTING horse trials

Because of the most loyal volunteers, whose numbers nearly match those of the competitors!. The talented course builders, both Showjumping and XC, all the judges and last but not least BE whose support, financial - knowledgable - reassuring and at times emotional, SEC successfully ran their first event. The feedback was very very encouraging and we are delighted so many members had a fabulous experience. This year we set a standard, next year our main objective is to raise the bar. Here's to 2017!
