LA CAPRESE - such a cake that melts your heart A bit of history ... All is well that starts badly and ends well! So it was that in 1920, in a craft workshop of the island of Capri, a chef named Carmine di Fiore "unwittingly" created the delicious masterpiece of Neapolitan art of confectionery: the Capri cake - 'torte Caprese' Carmine, was dreaming that morning of his one love and forgot to add the dose of flour necessary to complete the cake dough. He fired it without realizing it and at the end of cooking, with the utmost amazement, the cake turned out to be a real delicacy. His love so enjoyed the torte she allowed him to kiss her.
