Tony's Thunders Special As we celebrate this 50th year in business we thought we’d dedicate some new cakes to those who helped make it happen over the years. One of these people was Mr Tony Lonergan who owned and managed Thunders from the 1980s through to 2008. Tony brought our most famous cake ‘Black forest’ back to the bakery from his training days in Switzerland. Another one of Tony’s creations and a big hit with our customers is our Thunders Special. With its layers of meringue, sponge, and strawberry filling its smothered in fresh cream and almost irresistible! Tony passed away in 2010 and so we thought we’d take these two cakes and make something special in memory of him. We’ve created a cake with a layer of chocolate sponge and black cherry filling between two layers of meringue and smothered in fresh cream and we’re calling it Tony’s Thunders Special. The cake will be available to order from today! We hope you love it as much as we think you will.

This is a part-time role (approx 20 hours) working 3/4 days Monday - Saturday. Our bakery in Dundrum offers our full range of products from the bakery including cakes, bread and confectionery. We also offer a full fresh deli where we prepare all of the ingredients and prepare the menu items to order. Barista style coffees are also a feature in Dundrum. We are looking for someone who is flexible to work during our opening hours of 8am - 6pm and has previous retail experience. Flexibility required to travel to other stores on the Southside, Rathmines and Ashleaf
