Cooking School The Cooking Room brings together all the elements of a great kitchen party - interesting people, lively conversation, and the inspiration to create great food. Our classes are designed to be social, interactive and fun! Each class brings you up close to chefs who share their knowledge and passion for food. We want you to expand your kitchen skills and be inspired to try them out at home. We'll send you home with all the recipes to make sure you remember every detail.
All cooking enthusiasts, novice or not, are welcome in our classes.
Classes are held at The Cooking Room located in Red Deer's East Hill Center (near Save On Foods) at 500, 3020 22nd Street, side entrance, lower level.

Our new 2018 classes will be released and ready for early registration. We open half of the seats for purchase now and the remainder will be released for sale on January 9th. This allows anyone recieving a gift certificate (or any late comers!) to have a chance to book into their favourite class.

Father's Day is around the corner! We are stirring up an Old Fashioned cocktail tonight and wanted to share it with all the great Dads out there. Cheers to the wonderful job you do in inspiring your kids, young and old! Classic Old Fashioned Cocktail 2 oz Bulleit Bourbon 1 torched orange peel rind 1 tsp brown sugar 2-3 dashes of bitters Carefully remove a small portion of the rind from an orange. Torch it over a flame to release the citrus aromas and use the rind to rim and old fashioned glass. Toss it in the bottom of the glass and add brown sugar and bitters. Gently muddle. Fill glass with ice, top with bourbon and gently stir until sugar has dissolved. Cheers!
