President Leath has launched a new research and development program to drive collaboration with leading business, industry and government agencies. The Presidential Awards for Interdisciplinary Research, or PAIR, will provide $5 million in the next three years to Auburn researchers working on major technology developments, scientific discoveries or scholarly advances with broad economic, health or societal impact. Auburn is already conducting research throughout the state, from the Huntsville Research Center to the Shellfish Lab on Dauphin Island, and many points in between. This launch is one of the first steps in a more aggressive strategy of signaling to industry and government that Auburn is open for business! #WarEagle
