Saintsbury Winery

1500 Los Carneros Ave, Napa, United States

Founded in 1981, Saintsbury is a family winery that produces site specific Pinot Noir & Chardonnay with classic structure and the potential for aging.

We are very excited to be getting allocations ready for next month's shipment to members.

Thanks to Esther Mobley, The Press, and San Francisco Chronicle for including Saintsbury in their list of wineries to visit in 2018.

It's that time of year. We have our gift sets all packed up, live on our website, and ready to send out.

Thanks so much to Bryce Wiatrak and AFAR for the great piece on Saintsbury and Carneros. "A tasting at Saintsbury encompasses everything I love about the Carneros ethos—beautifully crafted California wines without pretention."

We are happy to say that we are open and accepting reservations. We are ready to host you and looking forward to raising a glass together while catching up.

Thanks to everyone that has reached out. We are all still safe and the winery is in good shape. We unfortunately still don't have working email or voicemail. Just to make things even more challenging, we have had some intermittent issues with phone service as well. However, a phone call to our main number of 707-252-0592 is still the best way to reach us during business hours (9am - 5pm). Sorry for the inconvenience, and we will be back to normal as soon as we can.

We've lost our power and there is a significant amount of smoke in the air, but we are pretty lucky that we are all safe and the winery is in good shape. Thanks so much for everyone that has reached out. We aren't able to take appointments just yet, but we hope to soon.

Thanks to St Helena Star for naming our 2015 Lee Vineyard as one of the top Pinot Noirs from Napa Valley. That wine will be coming up in our November club shipment. Can't wait.

Thanks to Tom McNamee (writer) for the kind words about us and to The Daily Meal for including us in their 101 Best Wineries in America 2017. "Elegant, pure pinot noir and chardonnay from the part of the Carneros district in Napa County," enthuses Tom McNamee, the author of Alice Waters and Chez Panisse and The Man Who Changed the Way We Eat: Craig Claiborne and the American Food Renaissance. "They deserve particular recognition because ‘Napa’ is not thought of as a place for Saintsbury's kind of wine…[but] [t]he terroir is nonetheless perfect: San Pablo Bay within sight, with its cool, foggy summer nights; bright September sun; superb soil (and management thereof); meticulous selection; Burgundian winemaking technique."

Thanks so much to R.H. Drexel for sharing such great memories of Richard Ward for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate's Wine Journal.

Early access bidding has now opened for registered attendees of Auction Napa Valley. Our barrel #290 is a unique combination of Dijon clones from Stanly Ranch that is only available in this exclusive ANV blend. Stop by our barrel and try it at the tasting tomorrow.

Mr. Richard Ward, 1950-2017
