Metro Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization funded by the City of Tuscaloosa, the City of Northport, and the Tuscaloosa County Commission. Along with these funds, we also receive donations which are tax-deductible, redemptions and adoption fees.

PVAC is the only full service, open admission, animal intake facility in Hidalgo County, Texas. PVAC serves more than 800K residents and had a total intake of almost 34k animals in 2016, 26K of which were cats/dogs.
