facebook.comFor more information on these dogs, please go to the Shelter website: www.theannashelter.com - email the kennels at dogs@theannashelter.com or call the Shelter during open hours or stop by!!!. (Mon & Wed 12-7pm; Tues, Thurs, Fri 12-5pm, Sat 10am-1pm) 1555 East 10th Street, Erie. ** We DO allow out of the area adoptions ( Proof of Home Ownership is required ) - however you must come to the shelter for the adoption. We do not ship our pets - adoption requires a face to face interview with a member of our staff and your personal interaction with the animal. There are no exceptions to this rule. It is important for us to meet you here. Adoptions are based on the best possible fit for the new owner and animal. Adoptions are never done on a "first come/first serve basis". Your application may be approved or denied for any reason as we are trying to find the best fit possible in choosing lifelong homes. A "Meet and Greet" is required if you have other pets in your home (dogs only). ALL current pets in the home MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered before you can be approved to adopt! If your dog has not had and/or received a current Bordetella Vaccination to prevent your pet from contracting "Kennel Cough" please consider getting your pet vaccinated and consult your vet for any other potential concerns. Please feel free to contact the shelter if you have any questions and/or concerns at 814-451-0230! We do not refund adoption fees or reimburse for expenses. Any expenses related to owning a pet are solely the responsibility of the new owner beginning when the animal leaves the shelter. This includes, but is not limited to adequate food, shelter, and veterinary care!!***

Hi, guys! I wanted to introduce you to my new friend. Her name is Icky. Officer Duckett rescued her and 4 of her friends from a bad place where they were all living outside tied up in the cold. Since I'm doing so much better my amazing foster mom said she could come here til she feels better. At first I wasn't sure but then we had so much in common and I wanted her to feel the love like I do so now it's going really well. She needs special food and medicine for her belly ache but she will get better too! For now we both dream about our new homes and families. I'll send more pictures of us as Icky feels better too. Some of her friends are ready for adoption so stop by and meet them too! XO - Grace
Hello! My name is Paris. I am approximately a 4 month old spayed female Pit Bull Terrier mix and I currently weigh 29 pounds. I was recently surrendered to the shelter because my owners could no longer provide me with proper care. I get along great with most other dogs and children too but I have not been tested with cats. I am a sweet, energetic young lady who loves to play. I would make an excellent family companion...Could I be the perfect addition to your family? Stop on down and spend some time with me! Adoption $200.00
Gracie had a bowling party for her 9th birthday and asked for donations for the shelter pets instead of gifts! This is the second year in a row she has done this for us! They adopted their dog, Myra from us two years ago. She also came in last week and spent a day volunteering for us!!! Thanks, Gracie! You rock!
