New Toys! Arriving at the gym today we have 4 red bands, a couple of bar pads (for those glute bridges!), a multi grip short bar and a lunge bar. Here's Gym Monitor Will ( Iron Will Training ) demonstrating how to use the lunge bar; it has an open front so you can step forward easily, and is much more convenient to load and set down than heavy dumbbells. Enjoy!

"Watts" Your Power?? We have a NEW record board at Forge, featuring 4 events featuring our brand new sprint cardio equipment and especially suited to the sleeker and faster amongst us!! Just as with the main board, all record attempts must be videod or witnessed by Staff, and only Gav and Natalie are to write on the record board itself. The events are... Speedfit 100m. From a standing start, sprint 100 metres. Fastest time wins. Speedfit 500m. As above, but over 500m distance. Yuk! Fastest time wins. SPARC Power in 60s. Set the SPARC to "Interval" mode, and select Level 7 for the resistance. Program a 1 minute interval with a 1 minute break, to be repeated 1 time. The display will give you a 3....2....1 countdown, then go as hard as you can for the 1 minute. As soon as the minute is up, press the "Stop / Review" button and note the "Average Watts" from the results displayed. Highest Watts Wins. SPARC average Power in 5 minutes. Set the SPARC to "Circuit" mode, resistance level 5. Hop on and go all out at Level 5 for 5 minutes. As soon as 5 minutes has elapsed, hit the "Stop / Review" button and note the Average Watts you generated across the five minutes. Highest Watts Wins. Who has the power???

Cairngorm Treks
Massive congratulations to The Forge Gym Inverness member Shona Macpherson, for completing the Etape Loch Ness yesterday. Shona has worked incredibly hard over the last few months to prepare for this event, which she admitted was well outside of her comfort zone, and she completely smashed it! Well done Shona, we're all hugely proud of you.
