The Cafe at Cowslip Workshops in Launceston are well worth a trip out from Lower Margate. They are about an hour away. Cowslip is a quilt shop on a working farm but you don't have to be a sewer to appreciate the Cafe's delicious food.

A trip to the Duchy of Cornwall cafe only takes 15 minutes tops by car from Lower Margate, it's a stunning place to have lunch. You can also walk across country on a public footpath to it from Lostwithiel if you have a dog to walk, the views are quite stunning. We adore Botallack, Levant and Geevor mines near St Just, which takes about 55 minutes by car from Lower Margate. All have been featured in Poldark. Take your walking boots and some lunch and head out on the costal path, it is the most haunting and beautiful place and a must for all Poldark fans. If your a really keen photographer be sure to get there for sunrise, you will be rewarded with the most stunning photographic opportunities.
