For those of you who are worried about the proposed policy changes to wigs/bras& prothesis/ please find enclosed response from dept of health "At the Minister's request, the HSE has deferred the introduction of the proposed changes. He has asked the HSE to re-examine the matter with a view to devising a plan which will achieve an equitable outcome but not lessen the level of provision for patients who are already coping with serious illness. The HSE has confirmed that the status quo will operate for all patients, including those with alopecia, pending further consideration of the matter, including discussions with this Department. " I would like to take this opportunity to thank Michael Mcgrath TD & senator Colm Burke for perusing this issue on all our behalfs . It is not over yet - we all need to keep the pressure on!" Kind regards The Wig clinic
