Cork Academy of Music
Description
Cork Academy Of Music was established as a voluntary initiative in 1994 based on the recognition that there is a need for a music institution to serve people in the north side of Cork City. The ethos of the Cork Academy of Music is based on the belief that music can be used as a tool of social inclusion in areas where there has traditionally been a lack of opportunity to acquire education and skills. The staff and tutors take a uniquely holistic approach towards music education by including personal development along with instrumental and theoretical tuition.
