Golf is an individual sport.... we don’t think so !! At first glance this may look like a Danish hockey team in their pre-match tracksuits, or a bunch of young-looking old people playing a soccer tournament whilst on holidays in Spain. On closer inspection you will see that it is actually a golf team, and they seem to have won something. Golf is often labeled as an individual sport as opposed to a team sport but this is only partly true. It is in fact a sport with some very engaging team formats. Competitions for golf teams start at a very young age, and people can continue to play team-golf as long as they are willing and able to walk. What other sports offer a lifetime of team participation? Golf lessons for kids start the week of 16th April. €60 for 8 weeks. 1 hour per week. All ages and ability levels welcome. Attention Claregalway residents!! This particularly aggressive looking cat has been intimidating road users and pedestrians on the Cregboy Road and it must be stopped. Today one road user reported that the cat was rolling around in the middle of the road enjoying herself in an intimidating manner and didn’t move until the car was nearly upon her. This outrage must be stopped at all costs. We are proposing an outright ban on all intimidating behavior by animals on the Cregboy road (cats particularly). As you can see from the picture, the ‘dirty looks’ that this cat is capable of giving could strike fear into the hearts of the most vulnerable members of our community.
