Chess for Climate Action!

Hi everyone! My friend Beth Eden is raising money for her trip to the United Nations to combat climate change with World Merit! We would like to help her get there by having a special event, Wednesday, Feb 22nd! Calugar is one of the most talented and well known chess players in all of Canada! We thank him for helping us with this event and climate action! Everything will be similar except we will have one part of the area dedicated to the Simultaneous Exhibition. If you do not want to participate in the Simultaneous Exhibition, we will have a jar for small donations! Even a few dollars will make a huge difference! Thank you everyone. *** Entry fee: $10 (Includes a drink/food ticket, tournament, casual play and one-on-one tips) Simultaneous Exhibition Fee: $20 ($10 goes to Beth for her climate change fundraiser) + you'll get a little prize from us! *** Casual Play anytime between 7 - 11 PM. Feel free to ask the organizers for some tips during your casual games! **** We will occasionally have special guest lecturers! Pub Chess Toronto is happy to state that we will be having a second location in the west end of Toronto (Etobicoke, 1 minute walk from Islington Station)! We hope to run it every Saturday starting from Feb 18. This location is also great for those of you who live in Mississauga, no need to pay for TTC since the Mississauga transit takes you right to the venue! Really hope some of you can make it! There will be a guest lecturer on Feb 18th (to be determined).
