The conservatory is operated by the Regina Garden Associates, a volunteer non-profit organization. Bursting with tropical plants, exotic trees, and brilliant blooms September through June, the Conservatory extends a warm welcome to visitors. Floral displays change regularly and feature seasonal offerings set in the tranquility of lush greenery, the therapeutic scent of moist air and the soothing sounds of a gentle waterfall.
The facility was established by the City of Regina during the 1950s as a cluster of three greenhouses to grow plant material to beautify the city. A portion of this operation was later opened to the public so that the people of Regina could enjoy an indoor greenspace.
In 1991, a volunteer organization called the Regina Garden Associates (RGA) was formed to operate a small gift shop at the entrance to the public floral display. In 1999 the City of Regina formed a partnership with the RGA to maintain a 315 square metre greenhouse display, oversee special events and run the gift shop. In 2002 the greenhouse officially became known as the Regina Floral Conservatory.

Today is our first day of our extended hours! Opening at 11:30am this morning until 8:00pm tonight! Come take a break from the frigid wind and take in the beauty of the tropics! Are your friends all taking hot holidays and your stuck at home with the mid-winter blues?! Take your own getaway and come take in a “Taste of the Tropics” with our new display! The sun is shining and it’s REALLY warm in the green house today! Open from 1-4:30pm daily.
We are a HIDDEN gem but once you find us, you’ll be glad you did! If you’re having trouble locating us, just look for the big green pots marking the entrance to a parking lot along 4th Avenue; across from St. John Street. We’re in the back right corner of that parking lot. We hope to see you soon! 🌸
