“Earlier this year, I was honored to volunteer with the Edmonton chapter of CIPH (Canadian Institute for Plumbing and Heating) at the Habitat for Humanity build in South Edmonton. Habitat is a charity that builds homes for many families in need of safe, affordable housing across northern Alberta each year. Our CIPH group brought 15 people to site and it was an amazing experience. We cut boards, used power tools, stood up on ladders, trudged through the mud and hopefully made a small difference. We had a very thorough safety orientation and all of the volunteers were served an amazing lunch by a local church. The South Edmonton Habitat build was also chosen as a host site of a 'Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project', and earlier this summer, 92-year old Jimmy Carter, former first lady Rosalynn Carter, and volunteers from around the world came to help with construction of Carter Place. Although Habitat has some amazing and dedicated volunteers, they are always looking for more, and I encourage you, if you have ever wanted to donate your time or materials, to contact Habitat for Humanity.” ~ Christina Herbers Thanks Christina! #HabitatCWP Val Temp Sales
