Did you know? Turks Head Hotel was built in 1857 and was later known as the Traveller Rest hotel and also as Union Bridge Hotel. Later it was used as a shop, a boarding house, then slum accommodation. In 1950 it was aquired by Albury Council as part of the Murray River frontage. In 1967 it was converted to a museum and later house the Visitor Information Centre. AlburyCity took over management of the building in 1983 and the museum closed in 2006. The exhibits were relocated to the LibraryMuseum and the Visitor Information Centre moved to the Albury Railway Station.
