Your dogs diet can and most time does effect their behaviour, sometimes we don't know just how much something effects us until we remove it from our diet. 3 years ago I under went an experiment of quitting sugar, once I went through the detox process, my god the headaches haha. I was blown away by how much brain fog I had going on before I found a whole list of benefits I was completely unaware was even a problem until quitting sugar. Thing is you don't know what you don't know. You hear all the time how important the right dog food is. Most people without even thinking just reach for premium, the more expensive the better right? Not always. Check out this video below to find out how to work out the sugar content in your dogs diet, and incase your wondering what the best diet to feed your dog, a RAW diet is always going to be the ultimate choice. What do you think dog training is all about? Many think it’s just about the dog. Many think it only takes one or two consults to fix the problems. That the problems have any easy answer, a simple solution. Some think it’s a gamble, that it *might* make a difference. Dog training isn’t just about the dog, it’s about you too. If you leave the house worried about what’s going to happen and come home to a mess, more destruction, more frustration, that is impacting you. Every day. If walks leave your stomach tangled up in knots, and you have to avoid certain places, limiting where you can go with your dog, and that’s IF you even get out of the house with your dog. That whole process affects you. It all becomes just one big vicious cycle. You love him of course you do, but you’re ashamed to admit it crosses your mind wether this is right for you both, whether you should have a dog. Its just plain toxic for you both, and it breaks my heart to see this happen. ALL THE TIME. REAL dog training, isn’t a gamble. It’s a promise, a promise to provide support and guidance, to acknowledge and care for everyone that is involved in the picture, it’s about untangling the chaos the mess of communication that is going on, delving deep and repairing the relationship that has gone astray. Because lets face it, despite what people have told you, he isn’t just going to grow out of it, the problem isn’t going to just fix itself, and you may have to push through for the next 10 years just getting by with your dog, half enjoying him, half wanting to rip your hair out. That decision isn’t fair on you, or your dog. We can help you ensure that you and your dog affect each other positively, with hearts full of love every day, for the rest of his life. Now you know what Dog Training is really about, you know its a choice, a choice you make everyday. You can either live the way you are now, or you can make a different choice, start making a change, start fixing that toxicity that is happening in your home and start providing the life you and your beloved dog both deserve. We are always here for you when you're ready to make take that leap and make a different choice x

Loose leash walking

Check out this before and after with Jake, we were only able to squeeze in a small amount of loose leash walking whilst this old fella stayed with us for a few days, but it's a good topic to touch on. If you are struggling with loose leash walking, technique is important but what is also important is breaking it down into bite size pieces for your dog. Make sure you start in a calm manner, try not to get flustered or frustrated with your dogs behaviour. He doesn't know what he doesn't know! Spend time at home teaching the skill BEFORE you try to leave the house, All clients are instructed to spend a week practicing at home BEFORE they begin heading out to proof the exercise. You wouldn't expect someone to read a novel before they can recognise a single word. Make it as simple as you can for your dog to process the information you are giving him. Lastly if you're sitting back wishing you could take your dog more places, that he was more connected and actually followed your direction but you often find yourself leaving the house feeling guilty when you know he COULD tag along with you but he just frustrates you, every, single, time you try, don't leave it any longer. Change it! Start spending time with your dog the way you always imagined you would. We are always here to help and support you x https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PNOhNkjnws&feature=youtu.be

You’ve owned dogs before, perhaps even all your life and spent plenty of time with friends and families dogs. Dog ownership is far from new for you. What you imagined with your dog was being able to take him anywhere and everywhere, from an exercise buddy to hanging out on camping trips, BBQ’s, and sitting down at a café watching life roll on past and enjoy the simple things, a happy tail wag to greet you when you get home, someone to shed the days stress with and have a laugh with, enjoying mans best friend at his finest what you have instead is “that one dog” that flips everything you thought you knew about dog ownership on it’s head. Life has not worked out the way you had imagined with your dog, you struggle on walks and have to pick certain times of the day or particular locations just to somewhat enjoy yourself, but lets be honest just the thought of getting the leash and just getting out the door alone brings dread, And you can forget about social outings with him, every time you have tried you’ve just been left embarrassed, and when you get home you’re greeted with more excitement than you can handle. You love your dog, you couldn’t imagine life without him, really what you would like is life with more of your dog in it, but right now it seem so far out of reach. You don’t know it yet but “that one dog” is an incredible gift, but instead of being thankful for him you’re left scratching your head as to how owning a dog become so bloody complicated and despite your best efforts you just can’t fix the problems you face with him. You find yourself attempting to brush the problems off, you start to just blame yourself, maybe if I had more time, maybe if I had of done this instead of that, maybe I’m making it into a bigger thing than it really is. It is a big deal. Your dog IS affecting your life, and the problems you face with him IS affecting his. It’s turned into a vicious cycle, dogs are meant to be mans best friend and instead you’re in a toxic relationship where no one is really all that happy. You’ve asked yourself, “Would a trainer help me, is that something we NEED?” My questions to you is, how long are you going to live the life that is far removed from what you first imagine you would have with your dog? How many times are you going to leave your dog at home when he COULD have come with you if he just knew how to behave himself? It’s never too late to have the life you first imagined you would have with your dog. Contact us today to see how we can help you achieve the lifestyle as a dog owner you and your dog deserve.
