Thursday Feb. 25th is Bannes Night at Buona Beef in Orland Park. 15% of all sales (dine-in, carry out and drive thru purchases) will go to Bannes! You must present the attached flyer to qualify. As a reminder, we also have our ongoing Chili's fundraiser through the entire month of February!

WEEKLY REMINDERS: Tues. 2/23 Please join us tomorrow for our FUN RUN Committee Meeting at 6:30pm in the Teachers Lounge. Weds. 2/24 is HOT LUNCH Pizza Day for those who ordered. Thurs. 2/25 START DAY dismissal is at 12:30pm. It is also Kids Bowling at Centennial Lanes for those who signed up, starts at 1:30pm. Thurs. 2/25 is also Bannes Night at Buona Beef in Orland Park. 15% of all purchases will go to Bannes with your participation!!

What a BLAST at the glow dance tonight!! Such a fun night! A HUGE shout out to DJ Marcos for rocking the house and to Mr. Klein and all his helpers today for a job well done decorating the gym!! Thanks to everyone who came out tonight to have some FUN!!!

REMINDER: Bannes Bonanza permission slips are due tomorrow Feb. 18th, LATE FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

WEEKLY REMINDERS: **The 2nd BOX TOPS contest ended 2/15/16; please submit your Box Tops ASAP. The class that turns in the most Box Tops will win a frozen treat party!** Tues. 2/16 raffle tickets for JOB FOR A DAY will be sold during lunch as a fund raiser for the 5th grade fieldtrip. Tickets are $.50 each or 5 for $2.00 Weds. 2/17 is HOT LUNCH Chicken Nuggets or Cheesy Breadsticks, Salad and Cinnamon Stix for those who ordered. Thurs. 2/18 is the deadline to submit your Bannes Bonanza permission slip; NO LATE SLIPS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Fri. 2/19 is the deadline to turn in your payment/form for Bowling if you plan to bowl on the 2/25 START Day. Friday is also our 1st ever GLOW DANCE from 6:00pm-8:00pm! Wear a white T-shirt or neon colors!!

Just a reminder that Bannes & KSD 140 celebrate President's Day tomorrow, Feb. 15th, so there is NO SCHOOL!!

The Bannes PTO is in need of some empty 2 liter bottles! Mr. Klein is working on a project for our Glow Dance and these would greatly help! Please comment below if you have some empty 2 liter bottles you can contribute. Please send them in with your student ASAP! THANK YOU!!

Please review the following message from Mr. K: Bannes community, It has been brought to my attention that we have had an increasing number of fender benders in the morning car rider line. I am sorry that this has happened to those involved. Just a note to those that do drive their students to school in the morning: Parents are asked to let their students out of their vehicles, on the right side of the vehicle, once they have proceeded as far as they can in the car rider line, have come to a stop and are in the student drop off zone. I ask you to do this so that we can allow the students to begin school on time. Parents that choose to drop their students off as close to their doors as possible, or stagger the drop off points to accommodate children in multiple grades, create a dangerous situation for drivers behind them that assume that they are going to proceed out of the car riding line. Dropping children off out of order or letting the children out on the left side is not only dangerous but causes a delay in other students being dropped off and empty cars leaving the line. Another area that I ask parents to be cautious of is pulling up to the school to drop off your child if you are running late. Please be conscious of others that may be behind you and in line when leaving the school grounds. Also, a reminder that there is a posted sign indicating "DO NOT ENTER" at the intersection of Odell and 169th Place. UPDATE: It has come to my attention that the Glow Dance form is a bit confusing. Adults & children 4 and under are FREE. The price is $3.00 per student OR $5.00 a family (MEANING MORE THAN 1 STUDENT). So if you have more than one child at Bannes, you would pay $5.00 for everyone. Sorry for the confusion. If you have turned in a form that paid for both a student and a family, please comment below or message us here and we will get it corrected. We apologize in advance!!
