May is National Stroke Awareness Month. A stroke can happen to anyone, at any time, and at any age. Every four minutes someone dies from a stroke. The National Stroke Association (NSA) initiated and received a Presidential Proclamation to annually celebrate National Stroke Awareness Month in May. Join in the cause and help raise public awareness about the importance of managing stroke risk factors, understanding stroke symptom recognition and response, and improving the quality of life during stroke recovery for millions of stroke survivors.
