Thank you to the Only Orchids Group for their generous donation to our Music and Art program in support of our students attending the Musical Instrument Museum and the Phoenix Art Museum at the end of the school year. Our Band and Choir director, Mrs. Kim Lehmann, received a check for $2,000 and our Art teacher, Ms. Emily McClintock received a check for $1,820. This was made possible from the Songwriters Festival which was sponsored by Only Orchids. We are grateful for their support of the Arts and of our students.

What better way to end a crazy week than with our end of quarter assembly. In our Pennies for Patients challenge, the 7th grade collected more money than the 8th grade which resulted in Mr. Blake and Mrs. King having to cut their hair and Ms. Lasister dying her hair purple. The 7th grade teachers also participated in good sportsmanship. Mr. Griswold and Mrs. Buchholz cut their hair and Mrs. Cipres is sporting purple hair. Good times.
