Twin Cities Live is featuring Northfield this week and yesterday did a Facebook Live segment showcasing food from 3 local eateries, two of them in Downtown Northfield MN: Tanzenwald Brewing Company and Smoqehouse- Northfield. They also had great things to say about The Ole Store Restaurant. Thursday they'll be live at The Contented Cow and The Rare Pair. We're pretty sure that if they could communicate with us today, they'd tell everyone to vote daily for Downtown Northfield in the America's Main Street contest. Yesterday afternoon Rebound Hospitality hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking for their Marriot Fairfield Inn and Suites Hotel on the Crossing site in Downtown Northfield MN. On hand to participate in the festivities were members of the Northfield City Council, investors including St. Olaf College and Carleton College, members of the EDA, banks and other local business partners. The hotel is on a fast track and will be open for business in the spring of 2018. Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this project to market!
