Not at Jenny's Gym. With 8 squat racks/bench press stations, there's no reason to stalk. Come see us for inside information.
NEW location, same OLD thoughts: Without consistency and hard work, results do not happen. Lifting weights does not develop the "toned" look in a short period of time. It takes weeks, months and even years to build the physique in mind. And, even if the time is put in, without the harder-than-you-think-you-need-to-work, it will not produce the "toned" or, as we say at Jenny's Gym, LEAN muscular look that our mind imagines. Just yesterday I pushed my members to press a heavier weight. "If you don't need a spotter, it isn't heavy enough." Consistency + Hard-er work = Results. My members are loyal to their gym. They understand that the work they put in is not for instant gratification but get that they are in a life-long process. They are building muscles AND burning fat simultaneously. And, in time (not microwave fast time), they will have built a strong body accompanied by a stronger mind. They are not here today and gone tomorrow. Like the friendships they have developed, they are life-long. They laugh together, grunt together, cuss (only every once in awhile ) together, share together, build together and burn together. They appreciate strength and conditioning research and science-based nutritional counseling, as much as they do the hard work from themselves and their trainers. They are, whether they know it or not, the foundation of health for many community onlookers because they daily make hard choices to prolong their lives through proper, evidence-based research provided at our facility. From Joyce Powell, a gym member: Hey everyone here in Camden and surrounding areas. This is The Cookie Lady. Come on out to Jenny's Gym and get your work out on. Yes we work hard but the results are well worth it. We are getting healthier and stronger physically yes but we also have time to praise and honor God too because after all He is the reason we are able to do what we do. Come give yourself a better body!!!
We have taught the squat in our Power Hour and are moving onto the dead lift. Our first portion of this class was mimicking the DL with a PVC pipe, then we moved on to an unloaded bar until we had enough correctness in the position that we could add some weight. At Jenny's Gym, we believe in health and fitness for ALL ages. Our youngest member is 8 and our oldest is 69. Really, with numbers like that, and proper coaching, there is no external excuse for anyone within our reach to stay sedentary. Now, internally, the heart and mind can devise plenty of reasons and that is a personal battle that needs to be warred against. Why? Because not only your present health is affected but, your FUTURE health is determined by what you do today. #getmoving #jennysgym #strengthandconditioning

Since I'm always trying to improve my bench, I hit my triceps a couple times a week at the end of my chest day with my favorite exercise. Today was the first day I used 90#. Last week, my first week back to train after APA World's, I kept the weight at 70#, so I was pleased to see that I could do reps with 90#.

Arkansas Open RAW Championships
I got a little fire under my feet after competing the last couple of months, so I made the right connections to have a power lifting meet at Jenny's Gym. Please, share and tag your friends and start LIFTING HEAVY! We are giving you a place to showcase all your hard work in our little town of Camden, Arkansas. Winners qualify for a competition in Florida in APRIL! (Who doesn't want to go to Florida, one hour north of Destin??) I'll be blocking hotel rooms for our out of town guests and having local food vendors available for meals and refreshments the day of the event. As I acquire more information, I will post on this page as well on the Arkansas Open Raw Championships event page.
