Louisiana State University Farm Animal Veterinary Hospital Our veterinary staff is here to provide advanced medical, surgical and reproductive care for individual animals, as well as entire herds or flocks. The hospital is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm by appointment. We accept referrals, as well as direct appointments from clients. Appointments are preferred to allow us to focus our attention to your animal, while minimizing your wait to be seen by a clinician. In addition, we also offer farm call or ambulatory services for your convenience. For emergency situations, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The LSU veterinary hospital is also staffed by additional specialists in anesthesiology, cardiology, ophthalmology, radiology, dermatology, oncology, theriogenology, and pathology.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality service and care, thus we invite your constructive feedback so that we can make necessary improvements. Our primary concern is excellent health and productivity for your animals. If we can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact us. While questions are welcome via phone or electronic communication, we cannot definitively diagnose nor give specific recommendations without a thorough examination of your animal.

This is the time of the year to be semen testing those bulls for the fall calving season. Having them tested once a year is a good practice and can help save you money in the long run for those cows that aren't getting covered. We have services for that. We can come out to you if you have electricity and a reliable chute or you can bring them to us. You can call any time to ask questions or make an appointment. 225-578-9500
