Last week, students grades 1st through 12th enrolled in the LSVI summer enrichment session enjoyed a field trip to the Museum of Natural Sciences at LSU. Students were allowed to hold and touch many cool specimens of Louisiana wildlife and learn about the role wildlife plays. While holding zebras and antelope are pretty cool, many students reported liking the snakes and turtles the most! 🐍🐢🦉🌱 #LSVISummers

During day two of Digging Into Science, our students made pottery using fabric, shell, twine, and wood to make textured patterns. A big thank you to the Louisiana Division of Archaeology for making learning come alive for our students! These pictures show students working with their groups to make unique pottery creations.
