Meet Ann Hodgson,   Karen Hodgson,  Margaret Steel  and  Richard Betts:        

Ann has many years experience successfully training dogs. She  is the founder of our organization.  Ann  trains owners with their dogs in the disciplines of Obedience,  she is very ably assisted by our other Obedience trainer Karen.  If it is your wish to take your dogs’ training all the way to pre-show level then Karen has some brilliant techniques to help you along the way.  Obedience training includes such things as Heelwork, Recall, Retrieve, Send away, Stays, Distance control, Scent and Formal Retrieve including Sit, Wait, Fetch, Hold, Come, Sit  and Give among some other interesting exercises.  You are always welcome as a visitor if you  would like to see our class working.

Agility
Richard Betts

Richard has designed and built an Agility course which meets all current recognized standards.  He is keen to assist anyone who wishes to include some Agility into their dogs training and fitness.  It is of course of paramount importance that your dog must respond to at least some basic Obedience training before attempting the Agility course.  Most dogs will respond quite well to Agility training and will after a while get to enjoy the fun.

Puppy Training
Margaret Steel

Margaret specialises in Puppy Training.  One of the most common mistakes among new dog owners is to delay the start of training.  A new puppy has so much to get used to. It may seem harsh to start introducing rules from day one but a dogs principle need is to feel safe and secure and this can only happen if he knows his boundaries and respects the leadership you must offer him from a very early age.  As soon as your puppy has had its second injection you will be very welcome to bring him/her along to Margaret's’ class.  Your puppy will be pleased to meet other puppies and  will learn by socialisation as well as sympathetic but firm guidance from Margaret.
