Supplying parts for Royal Enfields from 1940 and onwards.
We source parts for all these models, locating new old stock, suitable reproduction or remanufacturing new and improved parts when necessary. In the mid 90's we started off our own machine shop which boasts a range of lathes, autos, millers, grinders, capstans, presses, welding equipment and CNC equipment. This gives us strict control over the quality of parts we manufacture. We have strived to improve the image and quality of pattern parts and have seen a vast improvement during the last decade. In a lot of instances we surpass the specification of the original factory parts.

The internals are mechanically baffled and sound excellent over the standard setup without being too intrusive to others around. A huge weight saving is achieved by fitting these silencers over the standard setup, along with a reduction in physical size to help narrow down the rear of the bike. A recent Classic Bike Magazine with a feature on the new Himalayan and a 1959 350cc Works Rep Bullet sparked great interest to one reader and brought back fond memories from the past. This readers name was Howard, a mere 83 years of age and an avid trials rider of the day. After Howard looked closer at the photos in the article, he discovered with great delight that the featured Works Rep Bullet, was in fact his very bike that he acquired in the early 1970’s and used regularly over the course of the following 30 years. Howard made contact with Hitchcock’s after discovering they were the current owner of the bike, and made a visit to the shop to be reacquainted with the machine that he had not seen for over a decade. Looking over the bike in person, it was noted that there were a few small changes, but was almost identical to how he remembered the bike, even down to the dents that he had put into the tank during use. Howard commented on how smooth the engine ran in his possession, and with that asked if she still ran, and proceeded to kick start the engine into life. The engine continued to tick over effortlessly as Howard relived the great memories, and took the bike for a ride around the surroundings with a grin on his face. I think its safe to say, that this made his day.

Now this bike has some history behind it, a Royal Enfield 1966 500cc Big Head Bullet ISDT Gold Medal winning machine, and amazingly it still looks like the day it finished! 🔔 This Royal Enfield endurance-trial Bullet was owned and ridden by Billy Mills. As the Redditch factory was closing in 1966 Billy purchased a very special, factory prepared but never raced, 500cc competition Big Head Bullet engine. This was fitted into a 350 frame. The bike was entered as a privateer in the 1967 ISDT, at Zakopane, Poland. The Bullet was the only Royal Enfield entered. It performed superbly with Billy being the only British privateer to win a medal, he finished with Gold . The bike seems original, with the ISDT scrutineering marks, sealed cylinder head/barrel and spare cables taped in place. The 2,991 miles on the clock is probably the bike’s total mileage. Hitchcocks have added this bike to two works ISDT Bullets already acquired, one ridden by Johnny Brittain in 1964. Remarkably all three of these bikes have consecutive engine numbers.

A great photo captured here from such a long time ago! This is believed to be a factory shot of Royal Enfield’s 4 valve 488cc TT race bike, dated 1934. What an incredible looking bike with such a great level of detail, imagine racing round the Isle Of Man TT course on this machine 🏁
