Unfortunately, the local Round & About omitted the important part of the September meeting being free to visitors. Please could everyone share this on their Facebook so we can spread the word. Many thanks

Dear Member I hope those you who went to Wisley have now dried out and enjoyed the day in spite of the weather! Our demonstrator on 13 September is Lee Berrill who, when he last visited us for our Open Evening in December 2015, received a standing ovation!!! His demonstration this time is called ‘Let’s Dance’ and I am sure it will be another amazing evening. We have decided to give FREE ENTRY to all visitors at that meeting so please spread the word amongst friends and relations so that we can give them a wonderful evening at the Flower Club. A fantastic opportunity for everyone! The tickets for the Open Evening on 22 November (please note that this is the 3rd Wednesday of the month and not the 2nd as usual) will be on sale at the September meeting. We are delighted that Jane Haas (one of our members!!!!) will be giving the demonstration called “it’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas! Jane’s demonstrations are always spectacular! For this occasion the Committee ask could you all please, please bring a friend - we really need to sell as many tickets as possible and if everyone brings a friend it would make a terrific difference especially as our expenses rise considerably each year but the price of the tickets has remained the same! Tickets are £12 in advance and £15 on the door including refreshments.

A reminder that our normal August meeting is being replaced by an outing to Wisley. For those of you booked on the outing, the coach will leave Caversham Heights Methodist Church at 9.30 am and the return journey from Wisley is at 3.30 pm. You may either take a picnic lunch or eat in one of the cafes. The main waitress service restaurant is closed at present.

Just to let you know that Shirley Sexton and Elizabeth Moffitt from our Club will be on BBC Berkshire tomorrow morning between 8.00 and 11.00 am together with 2 Area NAFAS members to do the treasure hunt around Berkshire. They have to solve clues and direct a car around the area - very similar to the days of Annika Rice on Treasure Hunt! The aim is to give NAFAS and the Club some publicity but hopefully they will have a lot of fun at the same time! If you are unable to listen live, the show can be downloaded on BBC iPlayer.
