Busy time for directors Gordon and Kevin Mayne at the coach industry show in Birminghams NEC this week. 3 firm orders have been placed for 2 Mercedes Turas 33 seat coaches from Minis to Midis and a new Man Beulas midi coach from Moseley Distributors. Recently the company have placed orders with evobus for 2 new Tourismo coaches and also a new VIP Mercedes 9 seat mini coach from EVM. Awards await for Maynes team Earlier this year we were delighted to find out that Maynes Coaches had been shortlisted in this year's medium operator of the year category at the RouteOne Excellence Awards, which will take place tomorrow night at the Hilton Metropole, Briminghan NEC. Excellence is the by-word and the aim as always is to identify and reward the best operators and people in the coach, bus and minibus sectors. The road to success starts with nominations invited from manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, It’s only through nomination that an operator stands any chance of being a finalist. However, nominations for the ‘people’ categories – i.e. Coach Manager, Bus Manager, Coach Engineer, Bus Engineer and the Special Award are made from within the coach industry itself. This week, We have completed our third repeat order with Evobus for two new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches that will be delivered before the end of 2017. Ordered to the Touring specification, the coaches will seat 53 with leather headrests and padded side bolsters. They all feature air conditioning, Bosch audio and entertainment systems, wood effect flooring, pleated curtains. Power will be provided by the Mercedes-Benz Euro6 OM 470 engines paired with six-speed ZF EcoLife automatic transmissions. Safety specifications within the vehicles include lane assist and brake assist systems with Mercedes, safety is paramount throughout the build process. The coaches will be used on our touring commitments and increasing private hire clients. The two coaches will be supplied by Mercedes-Benz Coach Sales at EvoBus (UK) in our new livery and will be cared for by Mercedes Benz service in Aberdeen and Nairn. Director Kevin Mayne said, we are very impressed by the build, drive, commitment and excellent support by Mercedes. 👨🏻MEET OUR TEAM 👩🏼 Meet Wullie Coull Wullie has been working with us for 13 years. He started working part time doing school contracts in 2004 and then started full time with us in 2006. Wullie is a Supporter of Aberdeen Football Club and has been a season ticket holder for over 35 years! In Wullies spare time he likes to go away in his caravan and also likes to go away on holiday☀ Wullie is also a dog lover (there are plenty of dog lovers in the Mayne team) and loves walking his friends dog.

👨🏻MEET OUR TEAM 👩🏼 Meet Willie Johnstone Willie has been working with us since March this year and is one of our private hire drivers. Willie previously worked in the RAF where he served his time as an aircraft and vehicle painter. He was also a keen middle distance and cross country runner and often competed for the RAF. Nowadays Willie is more into hill walking and also cycling. Willie has a vintage caravan and loves heading to the West Coast in it. Willie also said that his biggest achievement is his three children Grant, Claire and Keirra.
