I'm a portrait photographer based in Plymouth and I'm passionate about creating portraits that focus on empowering women and inspiring confidence I’m Rachel, a portrait photographer based in Plymouth.
I have had a passion for photography from a very young age and have always delighted in sharing beautiful photographs of family and friends. I have a Diploma in Photography and am a member of the Guild of Professional Photographers. I am fully insured and DBS checked.
I have a small home studio in the Beacon park area which is situated within my large kitchen / diner. The space is relaxed and comfortable. Previous customers have said that they felt very welcomed, relaxed and most importantly...had fun!
I believe that every woman should feel beautiful and fully embrace that... whether you are an expectant mum, a new mum, a wife, a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a girlfriend or a single lady!
My portrait sessions put the woman at the centre. I have an ever growing number of gorgeous gowns and outfits to choose from for you to wear in your session and a friendly yet professional hair & make-up artist on hand to give you a beautiful make-over. Come and let us pamper you! This experience can be enjoyed on an individual basis or shared with someone else. Dads, husbands and partners are also welcome to take part in the session. Non-participating guests are also very welcome. A lot of ladies bring someone as ‘moral support’ and we all end up chatting like friends come the end!
It is usually the case these days that the ladies are the ones behind the cameras, capturing photos of their precious ones. When your precious ones look for photos of you, let’s give them some truly beautiful images to treasure forever...your legacy.
Sessions:
With every session, when you arrive we will go over your wardrobe and outfit choices. You can bring any outfits that you feel lovely in and I have a choice of beautiful gowns to choose from as well. You’ll then be able to relax while having a beautiful make-over. Complimentary drinks & snacks will be offered and you are welcome to bring your own. The photo shoot will last 1-2 hours and include a few outfit changes and backdrop changes. After your session, I will email you a link to a gallery with all your watermarked edited images. You can choose which digital & print package.

This boy and that mumma! Bianca is the mastermind behind Matilda's Suitcase, she creates adorable, unique, modern hand-crotched pieces (just like the little hat that little Rog is wearing!) When Bianca dropped off a couple of items for me yesterday, I couldn't resist getting this beautiful pair infront of my camera! 😍
I feel so privileged that Maria has agreed to share these photographs of her with her gorgeous family and given her permission for me to also share her inspiring story. She hopes this will help other Mums in similar situations to seek support and says that by being open and honest about how she felt really helped with her own recovery. She admits that motherhood can be so hard and it’s easy to get lost. Upon booking a session, Maria openly told me that she suffered badly with Post Natal Depression after the birth of her first son. She admitted that she had lost confidence since having her two children, that she no longer felt beautiful and felt that she had lost who she was. Maria said that she wanted to look and feel feminine for her photoshoot, admitting that most days she scrapes her hair into a ‘mum bun’ and rarely gets to dress up. Maria has had a long journey to recovery and it has been a rough road for the whole family. She wanted to celebrate being strong now and wanted to get some special photographs of her with her family and particularly her two boys who have shown her what love really is. When Maria arrived, we picked out some outfits for her to wear in her shoot and Maria went to have her makeover with Charlotte. Maria looked absolutely beautiful. Maria told me that her photographs symbolise the sunshine after the storm and that they are everything she had hoped for x 100. She is proud of her journey and what she has achieved as a Mum. Maria, you are a beautiful person with a kind heart and Eli & Kayleb are so lucky to have you as their Mummy. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
