At our Christmas party this year instead of doing a Secret Santa we decided to spread the joy elsewhere and donate the money we would have spent to create Christmas boxes for the homeless. Thanks to the ladies donations and an additional generous donation from a college of mine we raised over £85, and with a heart warming donation of 25 pairs of thermal socks from Age UK (Bretton centre) we created 15 Christmas boxes packed with goodies to keep the homeless warm and in good spirits over the Christmas period. Myself and Jocelyn personally handing out boxes in Peterborough city centre this Christmas Eve, seeing the happiness and gratefulness from the recipients of the boxes was something I wish to be able to experience again and hopefully turn this into an annual event!
