Hi All, Welcome to our latest blog, for those of you who have read these before, welcome back. For new readers, a very special welcome.The season is well and truly underway. We have been really lucky with the weather again this spring which seems to have been the case for five of the last six years a good pointer for planning future trips to Oban. Would that the weather was so consistent in summer but I suppose that's why its so green. As Oban gets busy, its worth bearing in mind to visit some of the places a bit more off the beaten track. Yesterday we were lucky enough to have a quiet evening and too the opportunity to visit the Waypoint Restaurant on Kerrera. https://www.obanmarina.com/restaurant There is something very special about leaving the town, lovely as it is by boat, and heading over to the relative tranquillity of Kerrera. We had a great meal and were surprised to hear that they are still pretty quiet so far this season. This is definitely one of the undiscovered gems of Oban for the more adventurous. Hi Folks, Spring is finally with us and we are nearing the end of a substantial kitchen refurbishment and ready to welcome our visitors old and new in the season ahead. Oban has really benefitted from some reconfiguration in the harbour area which has certainly improved the look and feel of the place and made george street and surrounds a lot more pedestrian friendly. If you havent had the chance to visit this part of the world, it is worth taking a couple of days out to come and see what a beautiful place we live in.

We just put an offer up on our website which provides a 25% saving on a two night booking on our website. We often despair that people are unwilling or unable to book directly through business websites. Companies like bookings.com and trivago inflate the price of rooms by up to 17.5% as that is the commission they charge for bookings. By all means use these sites to find available guesthouses in the area, but please book direct, as it really will save you money. Weather up here is great at the moment so worth having a look :)
