Entries to the scarecrow festival are flooding in, you’ve got until 6th September to get yours in! Thank you to everyone for taking part! Last time we had 100 entries, wouldn’t it be great to top that this year!?! #romanbyrocks #northallertonrocks #northallerton #romanby #romanbywiscarecrowfestival2019 #paintedrocks #scarecrow @womensinstitute #iamwi
The staff from New Addition Windows Ltd are doing a grand job on Romanby WI Hall. So looking forward to showing you the finished results!
A huge thank you to CURVE DANCE, the first local business to get their entry form in for Romanby WI Scarecrow Festival 2019! Who will be next!? Please tag local businesses who you think could benefit for this wonderful marketing opportunity! The last event attracted 100 scarecrow entries, around 2000 visitors, raising almost £3000 for charity, and winning Hambleton District Council’s award for Community Event of the Year. The 2019 event is set to be even better! The trail area covers 1700 households, and around 6000 people live in Romanby. #RomanbyWIScarecrowFestival2019 #RomanbyRocks #Romanby #Northallerton #RomanbyWI #ScarecrowFestival
Starting to see some ‘I’m in Romanby WI Scarecrow Festival’ posters popping up in windows! It’s a great way to get your neighbours involved, letting them you are taking part. In 2017 we almost had whole streets taking part. It would be great to see whole streets getting involved again. Either in competition or working together for the £100 prize! Once you’ve cut off your entry slip you can display the poster in your front window (it’s also got a lot of info on the back so if it’s suck in your window you’ll know where it is nearer the time!) Thank you to everyone for supporting this event, it’s much appreciated. https://www.facebook.com/events/660672951065824/ #RomanbyWIScarecrowFestival2019 #RomanbyWI #RomanbyRocks
