Why Sales Managers Are Content Marketing Gold
Why Sales Managers Are Content Marketing Gold
Content marketing: it’s another responsibility for the Marketing Department, surely? Or is it in fact the responsibility of the Sales teams – to create thought provoking and strategic pieces to share with their prospects and customers? As you might imagine, it’s a mix of the two. Sales and Marketing functions are becoming so intrinsically linked as B2B prospecting becomes an ever more personal process – many Sales Managers and Account Managers have their own Twitter profiles, and many others are prolific on posting thought leadership articles on LinkedIn. Evolution of content – Infographic whitepaper
Making content more compelling Content evolves. What works one year might not work the next. But customers still want good quality content to consume from their vendors. It must be thoughtful, and carefully planned. It must show instant credibility and demonstrate trust and assuredness. The Sales Way recently worked with mission critical hosting provider, C24 (now part of the Six Degrees Group), on a whitepaper about how Predictive Analytics is shaking up the world of retail. Blog from the Intern: Week 4 & 5
Weekend Trips People always say that time flies when you're having fun and this statement couldn't be any more true for my stay in England. Over the past two weekends, I've seen even more of the country and visited lots of new cities, including York, which has probably become my favourite place in the entire universe. I had never before been to a city with so many bookshops and literally felt like I had died and gone to heaven without noticing as I was walking through the Shambles with a big smile on my face and a rucksack so heavy with books that I could barely carry it. Blog from the Intern – Week 3
A Day in Liverpool Half of my time in Manchester is already over now and, weirdly, it feels like I've been here forever, but also as if time has flown by quicker than ever. However, after my third week here, there's absolutely no trace of homesickness at all. In fact, as I was standing at Albert Dock in Liverpool this Saturday, I was already trying to come up with a plan on how to miss my flight back to Cologne and make it seem like an accident to stay in England for a little longer (okay, let's be honest, not just a little longer). Blog from the Intern: Week 2 – Social Media, Blog Posts & Starting a Podcast
Monday Morning Any fellow late sleeper will agree that this seems kind of impossible, but when my alarm went off last Monday morning, I didn’t even hesitate to get up. In fact, I was looking forward to the coming week so much, that I literally jumped out of bed, got dressed, had some breakfast and was out of the door and on my way to the bus stop within minutes. Back to Basics – Content Marketing Explained

What is the aim of Content Marketing and how is this achieved? Content Marketing strives to share relevant, compelling information in order to attract a specific target group of customers and increase the probability of a sale. Blog from the Intern: Week 1 – Arriving
It was 9:30am on a cloudy Tuesday in Manchester, I had just gotten off a bus and had absolutely no idea where I was. 'Keep calm', I told myself. 'You've got this. Today's only the day you've anticipated for months, nothing more. No biggie, right?'. Background As a full-time German student, I'd had the idea to do an internship in the UK about a year ago and as I had been in love with England since I first came here and really wanted to gain some practical experience before burying myself in textbooks for another five years, I immediately knew I had to do it.
