New Years Day Walk. Brush off the hangover with a gentle walk around Castle Loch. Meet at the club at 11am for the walk and afterwards hot drinks and cake in the clubhouse at 12:30. Non members and four legged friends welcome as well as non walkers.

Lovely email today: "I would just like to say thank you to everyone who helped today, Alex had another great day at the club and is very eager to keep sailing up. Thank you to everyone for making us welcome. I myself am very scared of the water but both Richard and Carol took me out on the crew boats and I loved it. Day 2 of the Scottish Optimist Training at Annandale Sailing Club. Fantastic day with sunshine. Racing start at the far end of the Loch

Laser dinghy for sale - £650 ono 121798 built 1985ish, standard 3.8 sail (5/6 years old). Mixed condition: mast step watertight but needs sealing at lip; repairs under gunwhale at trolley support, but looks solid; crazing and cracking in places in cockpit and on decks, but firm. Mast and deck true. For last ten years sailed one week a year (Kippford week). Includes newish trolley, ancient but serviceable cover and, for free, a road trailer (for local roads, not motorways). Go faster kit included (not set up in image because that used to be done by someone now in NZ!) NB in the image, the hatch is in the cockpit (for refreshments!) not near the mast step - that's just the lid, oops!! Currently in garden at Haugh of Urr.
