At Fairview we recognise that long tea breaks and long lunches are really difficult for all young people who attend. Instead, once we have finished eating, we have 20 minutes of relaxation time where young people are given a range of activities to do independently. 💕
Sewing with felt this morning followed by a terrible headache, self treated by peas on the head. Luckily a full recovery was made as soon as the washing up was all done! 🤕😉
So far, every free taster day has turned into a permanent place for a young person, either for now or for June or July when they leave college. Following a taster day earlier this week a Mum called to say; 'It melted my heart to see the photos of what she did. She hasn't been that engaged for months. I can't thank you enough'. This is what it's all about. 💖
Wonderful morning with #stonelodgeacademy ! It's great to work with schools who are so keen to support their students during transition into adulthood. This is such a challenging time for young people and their families, so anything that can be done to help them make informed decisions is brilliant! Lovely to see the staff making good friends with Ed the pig too! 🐷😉
