We run two 10 meter Humber RIB's "Voyager" and "Lundy Explorer" they will take you at speeds of up to 20 knots along the coast in complete comfort in search of dolphins, seals and porpoises all with the back drop of our coastline of Outstanding Natural Beauty including Lundy Island.
Due to the exceptional stability of the vessel the trips are even suitable for those who don't usually travel well on boats. Escape the crowds and join us for an unforgettable experience. We provide lifejackets but recommend you dress according to the weather conditions , so you are able to travel whatever the weather in complete safety and comfort!
All of our skippers are first aid trained and hold RYA commercially endorsed qualifications as well as various other navigation and diving qualifications and are all involved with Ilfracombe Lifeboat station.
Both boats run twin Evinrude Etec 200hp HO two-stroke engines and are rated at Three star* from the toughest emissions standard in the world. Plus, BRP through its Evinrude brand, is the only outboard to win the EPA's Clean Air Technology Excellence Award**. They also were the first two- stroke engine in more than 30 years authorised to operate on Lake Constance in central Europe, one of the most rigorously protected bodies of water on the planet.
So here at Ilfracombe Sea Safari's we do our upmost to protect the environment and the wildlife that lives along our coastline by using the best equipment available to us as we believe it is key.
Both Boats are licensed for 12 passengers and 2 crew.
Our boats are also available as safety boats and transfer boats.
