Hello Everyone Please make all your staff aware if the information below “Bogus calls It has come to light that several trusts have received calls from a David Platt, claiming to be a CQC inspector and asking for personal details of staff in order to contact them as part of an independent complaint. The CQC have confirmed they do not have an inspector of that name working for them. This has been reported to Action Fraud and it appears similar incidents have also been reported recently from nursing homes. We’d like to warn all colleagues to be vigilant and not to pass on any details without checking out who they are talking to. “

THIS WAS PUT ON STREETLIFE 2/11/16 neighbourhood watch Maggie B Just a quick warning. Half an hour ago, walking along Wakefield Road, Lightcliffe, near the Sun Inn, my husband was beckoned over to an old red Honda by the driver (Middle Eastern appearance, with broken English), who had stopped to spin him a ridiculous yarn about being a director of a German company over here on business. He flashed a home-made business card, giving the name Ibrahim something. Apparently he was running short of petrol, unfortunately had no cash or credit card with him (!!), and wanted my husband to buy his valuable gold rings (tarnished brass). He then drove off at speed towards Hipperholme - unfortunately my husband had no time to get his registration number. We've come across the ludicrously obvious "gold ring" scam in Paris a few times, but there may be some kind-hearted person who could be taken in by the sob story. Please be aware and pass the warning on.
