We have been providing quality stocked stillwater fishing for almost twenty years. Three lochs available, bank only. 8am-dusk, 7days. Quality fly and bait fishing on 3 lochs extending to almost ten acres. Two lochs fly fishing only. Tackle and bait sales, rod hire, ladies and gents toilets. Hot and cold drinks. OPEN 7 DAYS, 8am to DUSK (weather permitting)

Fly fishing prices:

8 hours 3 fish limit then catch & release £22
8 hours, catch & release only, £14

4 hours 2 fish limit then catch & release £17
4 hours, catch and release only, £11

Adult and child 4 fish shared then c&r £25

10 % Concessions for Senior citizens and under 15

Bait fishing:

Catch Reports to 09/06/17 First the drought, then the monsoon! After weeks of dry, dry weather with the ground literally cracking the heavens opened and the rains came down. Big style. The result of this weather is that the Markle Loch is now crystal clear! Jack Hay, Haddington, had 7 on buzzers with the best at 6lbs and Kenny Morrison, Edinburgh, took 6 on Greenwell spiders. Neil Raeburn had a great day taking 13 c/r on buzzers and nymphs whilst Alan Lunardi used dry flies in the evening to take 5 c/r. S. Crzbowsei had had 2 for 10lb, best 7lb, on black spiders and Davy Smith, North Berwick, had 7 c/r on Black Gnat. David Savage used his lucky White Rabbit to take 6 c/r. Joe Beattie, Leith, had 10 c/r on CDCs and D. Rowley took 8 c/r on Silver Humungus.Ron Thom, Haddington, had 8 on Snipe and Purple with David Smith again having a good day with 9, best 8lbs, on Black CDC. Borderer Mike Blackwood did not waste his journey catching 8 on Black Buzzers whilst John Dailly from Edinburgh had 6 on White Rabbit. Neil Raeburn had another good day wit 10 on buzzers and dries. Kenny Morrison and David Smith both took 8 on dries and Diawl Bachs respectively. Brian Douglas had a great day taking 15 on buzzers and compatriot Keith Morley had 3 for 11lbs and returned 5 more on floating beetle. Father and son duo Tom and Tom Russell had 22 between them on buzzers and Ladhope AC had 29 fish between 6 of them. Joe Beattie had another tremendous day with 20 c/r on CDCs. Bruce Hunter, Edinburgh, had 11 c/r on a combination of lures and buzzers whilst John Dailly had 17 c/r using the same tactics. Robert Nicol used a tiny White Lure to take 7 and Mark Anderson, Musselburgh, had 12 on FABs and eggs. David Bullen caught 7 on buzzers, PTN, and blobs and on another trip had 9 using just buzzers. Neil Raeburn had a further 9 on dries and FABs. The evening fishing is now in full swing and with the midweek deluge the water level is up and temperature is down all making for some great fishing. Fishing Report to 14/05/17 Cold east winds but a change is in the air! Joe Beattie and Kenny Morrison both had 10 c/r on buzzers and black rabbit. T. Russell had 15 c/r on buzzers whilst Mark Anderson had 8 on blobs. Joe Beattie had another great day with 17 c/r on buzzers again and John Dailly used the same tactics to take 8. John Thomson had 8 on blobs and eggs and Jack Hay had another 8 on damsel and black lures.D. Rowely used a silver humungus to take 12 and G. Clark had 6 on green and black fritz. Mick Mulgrew had 12 on snatchers and wotsits with Darrel Young also matching that using buzzers. The Hoy 'N Hope AC weighed in 30 for 68lb 2oz and returned about the same and Mark Anderson had another great day with 18 0n wotsits! David Bullen had 6 on black spider and David Smith 9 on an Ally McCoist. Jack Hay had 6 and 8 on buzzers and David Bullen came back to take 19 on spiders and PTN again! David Smith had 9 on dry Hawthorns and Paul Harvey had 10 on buzzers. Ray Bain took 7 on damsel nymphs . Thankfully the wind has turned to the west and the dries are on!

Catch Reports to 12/04/17 Some cracking days followed by colder conditions.... Northfield AC had 37 for 78lb 10oz and plenty returned, one or two notable exceptions failed to bag up...... Gilmerton Miners had 10 for 30lb on the fly. K. MacFarlane had 14 on c/r on black and green fritz whilst J. Daly had 11 on c/r on bloodworm. Paul Harvey had 9 in a couple of hours on his eggstatic "eggs"! David Savage took 8 on a black and silver buzzer and blob on c/r whilst R.Gillie also returned 12 on buzzers. J. Daly, again, had 12 on c/r on buzzers, with Bruce Hunter landing 11 c/r on apps bloodworms and black lures. David Bullen took 10 c/r on Diawl Bach. Nitsley Mill AC weighed in 23 for for 62lb and c/r a further 54 fish - not bad between 8 of them! Best flies were shammy, black and green lures, and consett budgie. Mick Mulgrew had 8 c/r on eggs/rabbits with Joe Beattie taking the same on rabbits too. John Thomson had 9 on blobs and Dave Smith had 12 on c/r on black nomads. The wind has been strong and conditions cooler but those that brave the conditions have received their rewards.
