£7 for kids The Oaks Fishery is located only a few minutes drive from the City of Derry. We offer some of the finest Trout and Pike fishing avaliable in the north-west. The lake is in a stunning setting surrounded by beautiful trees , grass banks and lilies at the south end . Providing an ideal and tranquil venue for both fly,lure and bait fishing.
The fishery has fifteen acres of water and is fed by
natural springs, helping to keep the lake cool and crystal clear throughout the year. The excellent quality of the water offers fishermen a unique opportunity to stalk high quality rainbow trout and pike either from the bank or by boat. Pike of 34.4 and 32lb 27lb and 21.5 all caught on 2008 as well as rainbow trout up to 18 pound. February can be the month to catch that dream pike. Take up the offer of a pike guide to show you around the Oaks . 2009 saw no monster pike with 18 in the low 20’s and high teens and one piker catching 14 in one day and over a hundred for the season.
