Mrs JHM's new whip!!!! 2007 A4 2.0TDi 170bhp BRD Sline special edition quattro Lots of things to come with this beasty over the next year......Watch this space First on the list Timing belt and Water pump change, along with auxillary tensioner, deflection pully and auxillary belt Also Torsion value set perfectly using VCDS to monitor and check, something which is often overlooked by many general repair garages who simply dont have the equipment or know how.

Matt's A4 2.0 tdi cr sline in for routine timing belt and water pump change and a general health check. We see many of these coming in for remidal work after the timing setting procedure hasn't been carried out correctly, often resulting in the vehicle driving perfectly fine, but a noticeable change in MPG, incorrect timing can and will seriously effect your economy causing financial loss. Other things to note. Check what kit is being used, we only recommend and use genuine VAG or INA kits. INA are the only belt suppliers who include a full ancillary fitting kit, consisting of replacement studs, bolts and nuts, these must be changed and are often overlooked and not replaced, completley defeating the purpose of having the belt changed. If your doing the job, do it right!!!!!

Citreon C-Crosser 2.2 HDi Came to us with DPF and EGR issues. The owner of the vehicle was looking at a repair of over £2000 for a new EGR valve and DPF filter which had collapsed internally. So he opted for our removal solution, saving him a significantly large sum if money. Whilst carrying out the removal and speaking with the customer he explained how the car was used mostly for towing their caravan and how the car struggled whilst towing on a slight hill. After some discussion we explained how a remap would help. So with the ECU already off for bench flashing we carried out a custom high torque map specifically aimed at towing. With the car now running perfectly the customer was a happy chap. After test drive he reported how much better it was driving. Eager to see just how much of a difference the tune had made to towing he went straight home and hooked up his caravan and went out seeking hills. A few hours later the customer phoned us to say that the car pulled much much better and he wasnt having to down gear to get up a hill that he previously would have had to down gear and accelerate up with wide open throttle. One very happy customer

Mk5 Golf GT TDi 2.0 BMN 170bhp Siemens PPD1.2 ecu In for bench recovery after customer let his battery run flat whilst flashing a tune with a handheld device. We installed a stock tune and programmed the immobilizer, after falling out with his chosen flashing device the customer then decided he was going to sell it and opted for our Stage 1 tune through OBD giving a healthy 205bhp #jhm #rhmremaps #benchflash #alientech #ktag #saved #tuned #mapped #666 #unleashyourbeast

Golf mk5 GT TDi 140bhp in for a bit of diagnostic work. Limp mode and low power / boost and engine MIL on. VCDS code read showed an underboost issue, normally caused by worn boost pipes and clips on these. So out with our smoke tester and we found this was the cause of the boost leak!!!! Absolutley gobsmacked A plastic boost pipe that was split and someone decided it was a good idea to use body filler to try repair it 😂🤔😲😡 Bear in mind a brand new genuine part is only £48.00! And takes all of 10 minuites to replace Codes cleared and car back up to full power and performing perfectly on test drive whilst we used VCDS to log boost to verify everything was 100%

Leighs Focus ST 225 in for a coolant leak and Overheating issue. This vehicle had been to another workshop on several occasions to diagnose / identify a coolant leak. They miss diagnosed the issue as a thermostat housing problem, replaced it and still overheating and coolant loss persisted. The customer was then advised the head gasket had failed. Leigh phoned us and after loosing faith in the garage. After a discussion it became quite clear the garage in question didn't have much of an idea about the ST range. We invited Leigh down for us to take a quick look. Within 5 mins of Leigh arriving we immediatley identified the leak was in fact a failed water pump, that was close to failing completley, which would have caused the timing belt to come away resulting in valve to piston damage and a huge repair bill. We also carried out a sniff test and found no signs of a failed head gasket. We carried out a full timing belt kit change, including water pump and timing belt belt covers that had been damaged due to incorrect fitment. Car is now running perfectly with no coolant loss and no overheating. #jhmremaps #st

Jon's awesome v10 S6 this came to us in limp mode with the MIL illuminated. A full VCDS scan showed us multiple timing related issues, after logging and interperting the result we concluded one of the timing chains was either streched or the vehicle had been miss-timed previously. The customer gave us the go ahead to physically check the timing, not a simple job on these v10 beasts, the engine and transmission have to be removed as the timing chains are on the rear of the engine. With the engine and transmission removed we seperated the gearbox and removed the engine covers, no tell signs of previous work. Sure enough though we discovered the right bank timing chain was streched causing the issues. We replaced the complete timing chain set, guides and tensioners, refitted all the covers reassembled the engine and transmission them installed it back into the car. Vehicle now running perfectly with an abundance of sweet sounding v10 power 😎😎😎 #jhmremaps #unleashthebeast #666 #v10power #audiv10 #s6

Results of a typical cheap mobile £100 generic remap Customer reported coolant loss, but no visible leaks or puddles overnight and the occasional 'missfire' We found that a head gasket failure was the culprit, caused by the cylinder head lifting and streched head bolts...... but why? when we studied the map we took a look at the boost map, boost request was unbelievable, requesting 3.5bar of boost. We were surprised the turbo was still intact at all! So after a top end rebuild and installing a stock map problem solved and a happy customer.
