The most significant of those events actually happened on the street where the murals are located, events like .. The Battle of the Bogside and Bloody Sunday. If you ever visit Derry The People's Gallery of murals is one of the biggest attractions and well worth seeing. The murals are best explained by the artists who created them and they can be contacted by email .. k_336@hotmail.com or on Facebook , Bogside Artists Derry.
By The Bogside Artists HERE'S SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T KNOW There are THREE bullet holes on the Gasmask Mural, the first street painting we did for The People's Gallery. Probably the result of Bloody Sunday. Adding to its uniqueness and authenticity. They were of course on the wall before we started painting on it in 1994.
