A reminder that the next CFSM screening will be Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) TONIGHT. The eponymous Mad Max (Tom Hardy) takes a back seat in Fury Road, the most recent addition to the Mad Max franchise, as the indomitable Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) leads a desperate, petrol and adrenaline fuelled race for freedom across the desert. The colours and saturation of the images, combined with the constant frenetic motion, turbo-charged pacing, mind-bendingly inventive set design and at times almost balletic choreography make the film a masterpiece of the action genre. At times it looks like a heavy metal album cover come to life. It is a breath-taking experience and one that should be experienced on the big screen. Thursday 13th March in LTB10 at 6:15pm. Free admission and all welcome!

**** 2017-18 2nd & 3rd year undergraduate students **** Are you interesting in becoming a Peer Mentor next year? The role of a peer mentor is to encourage new undergraduate first year students and help them settle into the University. You'll be a point of contact for questions about university life, listen and discuss any relevant issues or problems, and refer them on to other sources of help or information. Mentors act as positive role models, build up a strong, trusting relationship and supplement other support available. Your commitment to the scheme will also be recognised; peer mentors can log hours via the vTeam and for Big Essex Awards. These achievements will appear on your HEAR. Interested? Please check your Essex emails for more details on how to apply or contact Rachele Winn (rachele@essex.ac.uk)
