Today has been an excellent day in lots of ways, it started early doors, networking with a fantastic group of people and continued in the same vein. One of the reasons for that was because every morning I make a conscious decision to make each day count. Have a reflection on your day, what was good about it, what was not so good and what could you do to make tomorrow better?

Some of you will be thinking of your summer plans or even the lack of them right now. Some of you will be thinking positively, some of you will be thinking negatively. Focus on what you can do to make those plans or dreams a reality rather than what is stopping you from doing that. Small steps taken in the right direction will eventually get you to where you want to go.

It's also Mothering Sunday this week. We will be celebrating as a family (looks like I've got a big roast to do!), playing with our newest members and also thinking fondly of our Mother's and Grandmothers who are no longer with us. What are your plans for Mother's day?

Flippin nora, british summertime officially begins on Sunday. How quickly has that come around? Soon it will be time for grass cutting, hedge trimming, barbecues and long summer evenings. Give a thought to how you view this, is the way you are thinking helpful or unhelpful? Everyone will have a different perspective when they read this post and that's ok but be aware that if you view it negatively ie oh no, more jobs to do or oh no, more socialising then you are creating unnecessary stress for yourself. What will you do to avoid that? PS, there's a clue in the picture :)

Do you have happy gardening memories? Some of my most cherished childhood ones are from the times I spent in my Grandad's garden. We would be knee deep in chrysanthemums and dahlias with the fragrant smell of sweet peas wafting in the sunshine. Of course not all memories are as lovely as that one but it is our choice to leave the unpleasant or hurtful ones behind. You have the control of your thoughts about your past so only you can change the way you think about it.

Still thinking on the spring gardening theme here. Belief systems, like plants can be helpful or unhelpful depending upon how they are tended to or develop. Which unhelpful beliefs have you been nurturing, is it time to weed them out? Which helpful beliefs should you be nurturing instead?

Spring is truly here, the daffodils, snowdrops and some of the heathers are out in our garden. It is time for new growth, how about a new growth mindset? Just like our plants and bulbs our mindsets need some tender loving care in order to flourish and grow. Who is tending your mindset? It should be you!

We need to take a leaf from Singapore's book and help our children to become resilient at an early age.
