Full in Snowday at Hartwell. Some water troughs didn’t even break with me jumping up and down on them! That’s saying something 😂

A very satisfying day at Hartwell. One lovely stud boy delivered to his new home, one trailer successfully parked and then reversed out of a busy parking position at the supermarket, without making a fool of myself. Animals done, holiday let changeover started, house decorated partially for Christmas and finishing off with a beef wellington (before ironing gets started) Not bad even if I say so myself.

A productive time at Hartwell

Sadly today we said goodbye to Darcy Puck DeFahmy Such a short life, complicated start, a couple of good days, a bad one followed by a plasma transfusion, a good day and then a day of decisions when she went blind and toxic. Poor love Such a sad day for those who have been a rock to her and us: Nana Tish (Patricia) and Keith May she fly with her pink wings over rainbow bridge. On the way to her resting place a large bird flew across our path and in front of us as we left Sleep well Angel

Ok the name is getting longer and I'm playing with it but...... Darcy Puck(sp) DeFahmy (my surgeon today) Darcy thankfully arrived just before I headed in for my long over due sinus surgery. Phew. Left her in the capable hands of my fairy Godmother Patricia and Catherine who had a bit of fun with a colostrum bottlefeed as she wasn't feeding. But all is good now as you can see and the cheeky girl is running rings around everyone.

Mammoth day in this heat, only just finished. Mammoth pair on our beautiful Fergus, almost took my eye out with them, his tail doesn't cover any modesty Elisa clearly had the alpaca version of Braxton Hicks yesterday and two weeks ago and still keeps her legs crossed. I swear she is going to pop. Elizabeth as always held up the decibels! Kirsty was wonderful as ever Keith and Christine were alpaca stars and Catherine Anne Kendrick and Trish held the house and family fort together

RIP Clawdia Sadly today we said goodbye to our farm cat Clawdia. She had a great couple of years ratting with us, after rehoming her as a complete feral from the Bury Stray Cat Fund, . She lost a fight against reoccurring rectal prolapse today. She would not tolerate further surgery and the post surgery care. I carried her to her resting place and proceeded to start thinking of her as I spread the earth, I hear a noise to my right, look up and a goat has escaped over the pond fencing to some yummy leaves. Thus commences a speedy burial with me whispering apologies to Clawdia and then a 20 game of cat and mouse with PomPom the goat. I actually think Clawdia was looking on laughing. Sweet dreams cat, it's been a blast. Ps slightly graphic photo but useful to those inexperienced PS the fishing net was not used on her, again just another of those funny captured images. That imply all sorts but actually mean nothing . Oh Clawdia, I'm sure she posed there on purpose
