facebook.comWe are looking for some part time help in our café, flexible hours to help cover weekends and holidays. Experience not essential as we can show you what's needed and train you to make good coffee. Suit students but lack of youth is not a problem.
Weather is awful this morning, so the Tuesday Ride is cancelled.
We had 80+ entries for our Mille Maglia CX Sportive on Sunday and everyone seemed to enjoy the challenge in what turned out to be spring-like weather. The very toughest riders completed the 100k route, with others doing 85, 75 and 50k, all of which were very muddy and incorporated many bridleways and byways. Many were surprised by the variety of terrain which included the ancient tracks across the Culford and Icklingham Heaths. Watch out for another event of this type later this year.
50, 75 & 100km routes
For those doing our Millie Maglia cx sportive tomorrow here are the gpx routes https://magliarosso.co.uk/mille-maglia-cx-sportive/
Our Mille Maglia CX Sportive takes place this coming Sunday. Weather forecast is good at the moment, but the byways and bridleways on the route will be very muddy, There are 50k, 75k and 100k options, first riders away at 9am. Most riders have pre-entered on line but there will be a few places available on the day at £20.
We've now got a couple of vacancies in our café to work alternate Saturdays and Sundays ~ experience not necessary, but willingness to look after customers' needs is essential.
Cyclists, motorcyclists and increasingly 'civilians' ~ all regular visitors to our café, and now we sometimes have customers on horseback, in this case a local family with the kids' friendly ponies.
Today's ride at 10 will go ahead, as it seems we might beat the rain coming in at lunchtime, but we'll shorten the ride if necessary.
I hate cancelling events, but today's ride will not run, due to the rain which is forecast to continue, but shop and café are open as normal of course.
Nice article on leisure cycling in current issue of the Bury and West Suffolk magazine, with an excellent plug for us under the heading 'The Cycling Centre of West Suffolk'.
