HUGE love, thanks and gratitude to Swing Unlimited Community Big Band (you were absolutely brilliant!) and all that came along to the SUJC to attend the "In Support of Michel House Homeless Shelter" event last night. Our wonderful Sheela Hagan - one of the main fundraisers and Ambassador for Michael House - set a target of £800 to be raised...Sheela managed to reach BEYOND her set target all helped by the wonderful generosity of event ticket sales, raffle and donations. Sheela shall be posting the exact amount raised as soon as she can! Well done all...let's continue to FIGHT homelessness together <3 One Love <3
The Dan Banks Quintet brings together some of the UK's finest jazz musicians to revisit the iconic Blue Note sound of the 50s and 60s. The band is formed from the mighty talents of Roberto Manzin (saxophone), Paul Higgs (trumpet), José Canha (double bass), Joshua Law (drums), and Dan Banks (piano). Wed 16th May - Doors open 7pm - FB/Eventbrite event is on its way!

We warmly welcome the Andy Nowak Trio to the SUJC on the 2nd May! What better way to start the summer month of May than with this event...bringing even more sunshine to your musical taste buds! Celebrating their new album “Reset” beautifully melodic and accessible - a logical continuation of their very successful first album “Sorrow And The Phoenix” which reached critical acclaim. Reset is a story with dedications to, and influences from, life and the natural world. The Andy Nowak Trio emphasise on improvisation and the joy of that process with tunes that are fresh whilst familiar… a “highly empathic” performance not to be missed!
