We're looking for an extra person to join our Bookstore. It's not often a role comes up working here so if it's something you've ever fancied, now's your chance! If you think you know someone else who's a fit, please share away. This is a permanent position and the main hours are Sundays 0915-1645 but will also include holiday cover and occasional other shifts if your availability allows. Availability over the Christmas period is a definite advantage. The role will include lots of customer interaction(!) Main duties include but are not limited to.... Cataloguing and selling our books; Dealing with online book orders and our Internet Cafe; Providing office services such as copy / fax / scan; As we are part of Books and Beans, (Coffee Shop and Bookstore), the role of Bookseller also involves clearing and cleaning tables and carrying dishes downstairs or upstairs to / from the Coffee Shop. Computer skills are helpful but absolutely not vital as full training will be given to the successful candidate. We're looking for someone bright, friendly and active that can maintain the standards we aim for and keep the friendly and welcoming atmosphere going here at Books and Beans. Poetry Night is back next week! After the wee Summer break, we're delighted to have our regular monthly meeting start again, (always on last Thursday of the month). Starts at 630, but best to be there the back of 6 to get a good seat!
Nothing planned for tomorrow? Just in case you've missed the advertising, I know this is a cracking day out for the kids. Belmont Street, Little Belmont Street and part of Union St will be closed off and there'll be loads of outdoor styley events / stalls etc. I'll be there with my boys for sure.👍😀🚲🛴⛅
