ARTICLE 1.0 INTRODUCTION
Amazing Grace Church is a purpose driven church® that is multi-cultural and multi-demographical in nature. Amazing Grace was founded on prophetic platform as a response to divine instruction given to God’s Servant our Founding Pastor and President Rev. Edward Olumese. After the mandate was delivered and during a time of prayer for clarity, the Church officially started public worship in the sitting room of God’s Servant on the 1st of October 1989, with about 20 people including children.
The Church has since grown to be a cooking pot for revival across the sphere of her reach with five (5) branches in Nigeria and four (4) branches in Africa, and they are all thriving beautifully. The Church continues to grow under the spiritual oversight and leadership of our Lead Pastor, Pst. Olumese Edward Olumese. The Church has remained consistent to its purpose and is breaking new grounds and frontiers.
1.1 OUR MANDATE
As delivered directly to God’s servant in the encounter with God that birthed the ministry, our mandate is:
“To train soldiers for God’s end time army, in righteousness and holiness shall God’s army prevail”

In line with our submission to the purpose driven church paradigm, our vision emphasizes the five purposes of the New Testament church:
“To bring people (Evangelism), into God’s family (Membership), teaching them to be God’s army (Discipleship) in order for them to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives (Ministry) and glorify God (Worship)

THURSDAY 12TH FAITH WORKS BEST WITH A GOOD CONSCIENCE 1 Timothy 1:18-19, “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscious which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered ship wreck. What is faith really all about? Is it just all about claiming promises? Is faith just a cheap way to use God? The answer is a thousand times No! Any faith that gives no regard for the total counsel of God’s word would be nothing more than an in-operative faith, it will produce no results. According to our anchor scripture, without a good conscience the end result of faith is ship wreck! What this simply means is that any faith not backed up by good and godly conscience will never reach its destination. The issue of conscience is very important to the efficiency of our faith! What then is conscience? Our conscience is the voice of the human spirit, it is like a guiding mechanism fixed into our system by God to help us navigate in this evil world while living up to the glorious gift of righteousness we have received! As a true believer, we must train ourselves in the word of God, consciously renewing our mind with the truths of God’s word daily, so that our actions and decisions would be guided in line with God’s word and true judgment. We must exercise our conscience unto good works so that it can serve as a great guide leading us in alignment with God’s will and plan for our lives. Acts 24:16 says, “And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence towards God and towards men.” As we live faith driven lives, we must always remind ourselves that one of the major impact of faith is a life that is pleasing to God, Hebrews 10:6a says, “But without faith it is impossible to please God…” by striving for a good conscience we consciously live to please our father. Our faith in God is what gets us to believe that it is possible to say no to the corrupt practices of this world and the craving of our flesh when we keep our conscience pure, we keep our faith productive, we avoid shipwreck in destiny. FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 119:10-11, “With my whole heart I have sought you; oh let me not wonder from your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” CONFESSIONS: I BOLDLY CONFESS, MY FAITH IS ACTIVE AND DYNAMIC, I LIVE A LIFE THAT PLEASES GOD, MY CONSCIENCE IS PURGED UNTO GOOD WORK. WEDNESDAY 11TH LOVE AND PATIENCE: RECIPE FOR VICTORY 2 Thessalonians 3:5, “Now may the Lord direct your heart into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.” Our anchor scripture recounts to us a short but powerful prayer made by the Apostle Paul over the church at Thessalonica. The Apostle Paul was a man of great revelation, he knew by the Spirit that the two most important elements believers (even today) need for perpetual victory is the love of God, and the patience of Christ. If these two be in you and abound, you are a sure candidate for the victorious life. Ephesians 3:19-20 shows us the Immeasurable potency of the love of God to perform, it says, “…to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.” When God directs our heart into the knowledge and understanding of His matchless love, we begin to swim in the fullness of God. At this realm, God works within us and through to achieve things beyond our imaginations. Hebrews 10:35-36 shows us the importance of patience, it says, “Cast not away therefore your confidence which has great recompense of reward. For you have need of patience that after you have done that will of God, you may receive the promise.” Any believer who desires to work in the reward and fulfillment of the promise of Christ must also learn to walk in the patience of Christ. God is not a joker He only says what He means and means what He says. If He has promise you something, He will not disappoint but you have to learn how to wait on Him in patience without losing faith. You need these two keys to unlock the pleasant plan of God over your life permanently, you need the love of God that will keep you chasing tirelessly after God and His kingdom, you need patience that will keep you running the race with power so that you can overcome until the end and be qualified for the prize. FURTHER STUDY: 1 Corinthians 2:9-10, “But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepaid for those who love him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things yea the deep things of God.” CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I AM STANDING IN THE LOVE OF THE LORD, I AM CONFIDENT THAT GOD’S PROMISE STANDS SURE ALWAYS SO I AM OPERATING BY PATIENCE. TUESDAY 10TH ELIMINATE THE COMPLAINING Philippians 2:14-15 (NKJV), “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without faults in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” To bring out the rich and vibrant colour of life, there is one thing you must avoid: complaining! Complaining may look like the easy thing to do when things appear not to be going your way, but trust me complaining, is the wrong response to a bad situation, it I like adding petrol to an already disastrous fire! Matthew 12:37 says, “For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.” This scripture shows us the power of our words in determining the final outcome of the situations we face. Be smart, your words are weapon, use them wisely. Stop complaining, stop disputing. When you decide to eliminate complaining out of your life enter into a season of greater productivity. The truth is this when you quite complaining and you stop the blame-game, you brain starts to work towards producing winning solutions. Psalm 144:13-15 puts it very plainly, it says, “That our barns may be full, supplying all kinds of produce; that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields; that our oxen may be well laden; that there be no breaking in or going out; that there be no complaining in our streets. Happy are the people who are in such a state: yea happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.” Instead of complaining, you can choose to respond rightly with praise and thanksgiving in the midst of whatever the situation may be. Don’t get it twisted, you are not thanking God for the negative things that may be happening, no, you are thanking Him in spite of the negative things. This is a show of faith and confidence that He is up to something special with your life! If you decide today to heed and eliminate complaining, WATCH YOUR LIFE LIGHT UP IN VICTORY! FURTHER STUDY: Number 11:1-2, “Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord; for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp. Then the people cried out to Moses and when Moses prayed to the Lord the fire was quenched.” CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I HAVE LEARNT THE RIGHT WAY TO RESPOND TO CHALLENGES, I REFUSE TO COMPLAIN. COMPLAINING ANGERS GOD BUT THE PRAYER OF FAITH AND THANKSGIVING GETS THINGS TO WORK FOR MY GOOD. NO MORE COMPLAINING IN MY LIFE! MONDAY 9TH YOU ARE COMMISSIONED FOR THE GOSPEL 2 Timothy 4:17-18, “But the Lord stood with me and strengthen me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!” As a child of God, one of the most important reasons why God did not just simply take you away to heaven after you gave your life to Christ is because He wants you to participate in the very special and noble assignment of drawing many into the kingdom of His dear Son. As a born again child of God you have been commissioned for the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, you are a soldier in the Lord’s army. This is a privilege to rejoice over, don’t just see it as another unnecessary responsibility that you could try to avoid, accept this duty with joy, seeing it as an opportunity to participate with God for the salvation of humanity, listen, you matter to this generation by divine election. Deciding to fulfill your commission in God’s kingdom comes with great advantages and privilege just like we can see from our anchor text, God strengthens those who are ready to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus, so that the unsaved will hear and have an opportunity to turn by to the Lord. Another major advantage of carrying out the demands of your calling to win souls is divine deliverance from all evil. Of course God’s word tell us through Jesus in Matthew 9:37, “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.” If the harvest is plenteous and the labourers are few, it therefore follows that God must be committed to the safety and security of those He has already got. God does not joke with His messenger. As you decide to live your life for God’s purpose of soul winning you will see God taking personal responsibility for your success, progress and safety. As you start to win soul fervently I believe I can say: CONGRATULATIONS, WELCOME TO THE BEST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE! FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 11:30, “The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life, and he who wins soul is wise.” CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS I AM SOUL WINNER AT HEART, I AM COMMISSIONED FOR THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS. SATURDAY 7TH THE BELIEVER'S SUPERNATURAL ADVANTAGE Joshua 5:13-14, “And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold a man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are you for us or for our adversaries? So He said, No but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshipped …” Halleluyah, as believers in Christ Jesus, called into the New Testament we have a supernatural advantage, this advantage is THE HOLY SPIRIT! In our anchor scripture for today, we see the Holy Ghost unveiled in old testament times, please note that this was not just a man or a regular angel, we can refer to Him as Angel of the Lord, He actually refer to himself in that scriptures as commander of the army of the Lord. How can we be sure that this was the Holy Spirit, you may ask, we can be sure because a regular angel would not accept worship but this special Angel of the Lord accepted Joshua’s worship. Joshua asked the Holy Spirit, “Are you for us or for our adversaries?” but the Holy Spirit answered that he was not on anyone’s side but He came as the commander of the army of the Lord. This shows us that the way to activate the help of the Holy Spirit for maximum victories in the battles of life is by our alignment on God’s side. No wonder the Bible implies that one with God is majority because standing with God allows us access to the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the commander of the Lord’s armies! Remember Zechariah 4:16 says, “So he answered and said to me: this is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord of host.” The advantage of the Holy Spirit is such that He enables you to win even in csses and situations where your power and might ought not to be enough. The good news is that we have something better than the Old Testament saints; we have much more than the one-in-a-while presence of God’s spirit, which is the spirit upon. We have the ever abiding presence of the Holy Spirit within our heart, where He can never be stolen from us or lost. WE CANNOT BE DISADVANTAGED FURTHER STUDY: John 14:16-17, “And I will pray the father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever – The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I AM ON THE LORD SIDE, THEREFORE, THE HOLY GHOST; THE COMMANDER OF THE LORD’S ARMY HAS BECOME MY ADVANTAGE. THE HOLY GHOST IS AT WORK IN ME. FRIDAY 6TH PUT YOUR HEART INTO LIVING Colossians 3:23-24, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” I really love the first few words of our anchor text, it says, “And whatever you do, do it heartily …” The New International Version renders it as such, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for humans master…” This is the secret of a life of fulfillment and positive influence, refuse to work out of compulsion or necessity, see the opportunity you have to engage in profitable labour as privilege. Put your heart into what you are opportune to be doing right now, do it with all your heart. Proverbs 14:23a shows us a classic truth, it says, “In all labour that is profit …” but the only way to draw maximum profit from your labour is for you to engage in labour excitedly and heartily. Isaiah 12:3 says, “Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” God your father does not want you to endure life (although many people in this world are merely enduring and managing) but God wants you to enjoy life. 1 Timothy 6:17c says, “God who gives us richly all thing to enjoy…” No matter your present station of life right now, choose to make the most of the moment. Refuse to give into depression about your parent situation; the truth is that depression is the gate way to oppression. Do not despise the days of little beginning; all you need to do is change your perspective about your circumstance. Where you are right now is not your destination, it is simply a point on the journey but if you don’t put your heart into making the most of the opportunity, it will turn to your end. When you put your heart into living, you will be inspired to live by creativity, and this creativity will sponsor a solution driven mindset. Choose to be faithful with all your heart; give your best, YOUR INCREASE IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! FURTHER STUDY: Ecclesiastes 9:10, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your heart; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.” CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I LIVE MY LIFE ALWAYS AT ITS BEST, I HAVE NO TIME FOR DEPRESSION. ALTHOUGH MY BEGINNING MAY BE SMALL, WITH JOY I AM INCREASING ON EVERY SIDE. ACTION POINT: Stop enduring your circumstance, make the most of your life. ONE YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: 2 Kings 1-3; Luke 24:1-35 #GoodNews: Remember, this is our month of FAITH! Don't take no for an answer, take your desire by the force of faith!
