How to Achieve Brighter Looking Eyes Let's face it, this time of the year can be a bit of a drag, leaving us feeling, and sometimes looking, a bit worn out. Do not despair! Highbrow beauty has some tips to leave you bright eyed and bushy tailed! Dark circles are the worst! They make can us look tired and unhappy even if we feel great. Some times they are caused by illness but most of the time it is due to the our skins constitution. Fairer, thinner skins (i.e fair Irish complexions) are more prone to dark circles. This is often because the blue tinge is coming from the blood vessels which can be seen through the fine eyelid skin. Tips to reduce or conceal dark circles: 1. When cleansing or apply creams to your face always work from the inside out. Be as gentle as possible as lymph (toxin carrier fluid) lies just under the skin. The aim is to drain the lymph towards the toxin eliminating nodes at your ears, under your chin and at your collar bone. 2. Rest a cold compress over your eyes whenever you get the chance. The cooling affect will help the little blue blood vessels contract, reducing the dark appearance of the under eyes. This will also help reduce any puffiness in the area. 3. Use a peach toned concealer. Peach tones are the opposite to blue, so when you apply the product over your dark circles the blue shadow is counteracted and the colour is balanced.
